At R.O.S.S for Change we support advocacy in mental health, as well as giving back in a way that honors the memory of Ross N. Fishing was his "therapy" and "paying it forward" brought him joy.
Our goal is to be able to provide a Nebraska State fishing license to those requesting one.

Our "why" is in the loss of Ross N after he was brutally murdered by his step-son who experiences schizophrenia.
The mission of our advocacy is to champion change within our mental health system by ensuring early intervention and comprehensive follow-through. We are dedicated to addressing the needs of clients, their families, and the community by reforming mental health policies, optimizing access to care, implementing social support programs, and emphasizing safety in mental health services. Together, we strive to create an environment that fosters wellbeing and resilience for all.
Also in keeping the generous spirit of Ross N alive, we will support and facilitate the promotion of the sport of fishing by offering Nebraska state fishing licenses.
Founded in 2023, R.O.S.S for Change is founded after the heartbreaking loss of husband, father, avid fisherman, and “pay it forward” spirit, Ross N was murdered in what appears to have been a mental break, by his step-son. If our advocacy can prevent even one family from experiencing such pain and devastation, our mission has been fulfilled.
